AnimAi is a virtual pet that lives entirely on your phone — including its artificial intelligence. This policy explains exactly what happens to your information.
Your pet's state, its history, and every conversation you have with it are stored only on your device. If you enable the pet's AI chat, the language model runs on your phone — your messages are never sent to a server, and no API key is required. There is no account, no sign-up, and no third-party tracking or analytics.
This is the most important part of this policy.
AnimAi can hold a conversation with your pet. To do that, it needs a language model. That model is downloaded onto your device and executed locally. When you send your pet a message, the text is processed by that model on your phone. It is not sent to a remote server, and no cloud AI service is contacted.
You choose whether to install a model at all. If you do not, the app still works completely — your pet simply replies using built-in responses driven by its current state.
If you choose to delete your model, or use the app's "Delete all data" control, the model and all conversation history are removed from your device.
You can install a model in three ways:
When you download a recommended model, the request is made directly to the public model host. The request does not contain any information about you, your device, or your pet.
AnimAi also offers a model vault that can copy a downloaded model into a folder in your device's shared storage so it survives if you uninstall the app. That copy stays on your device and is under your control; the app never uploads it anywhere.

Your pet's name, needs, history and chat messages are never included in any of these requests.
The free version shows advertisements provided by Google AdMob, which may use the device's advertising identifier. The paid tier removes advertisements. For Google's use of the advertising identifier, see Google Ads policies.
Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play. The app receives only confirmation that a purchase succeeded. Payment card details are never seen by or stored on your device.

If the app encounters a technical error, the details are written into a private log on your own device for your troubleshooting. That log is never transmitted automatically, and you can view and clear it yourself from the app's diagnostics screen.

AnimAi does not request camera, location, contacts, call log, SMS or file-storage access. Every permission is optional; declining one disables the matching feature and nothing else.
AnimAi is configured so that your device's automatic cloud backup does not copy its data. Your pet's state and your downloaded model stay on the device and are not included in device-to-device transfer.
AnimAi is suitable for all ages and is not directed at children under 13 in a way that collects their personal information. Because the app has no account and transmits no personal data, it does not knowingly gather data from children.
Under the GDPR, CCPA and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. All data is stored only on your device and never transmitted to us, so you can exercise every one of these rights yourself within the app.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new effective date and noted in the app's release notes.
